Ukratko, iako FDIC (ne država nego… Federal Deposit Insurance Corp)  garantira za sve uloge do $100.000 ispostavilo se da taj famozni FDIC u kojeg se svi kao pouzdaju da će im vratiti makar $100.000 ima na računu (pravi osiguravatelji) samo 50 milijardi dolara dok u stvari osigurava  otprilike 1.000 milijardi (trilijardu) dolara uloga do $100.000… Cool… ja bi im uvijek vjerovao. :-D

With the "financial storm of the century" hitting financial institutions, many Americans are worried about the safety of their bank deposits. While the FDIC insures individual accounts up to $100,000, the reaction to IndyMac’s failure this summer — lines outside retail branches — shows Americans have limited faith in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., which guarantees individual accounts up to $100,000.

Perhaps I would have found his little game funny if I didn’t have my life savings locked up in his top contender.
