16 US troops commit suicide in Iraq

Sixteen US troops from the a unit of the Airborne Division have committed suicide inside a military base in Iraq, security sources say.

Iraqi security sources have revealed that 21 US troops had committed suicide inside a former Iraqi air force base 27 days ago, Fars News Agency reported on Monday.

More kids used as suicide bombers: UN expert

More children are being used as suicide bombers, and at least 1,900 minors are being held in military prisons, a United Nations expert said on Tuesday.
"In the battle between terrorism and counter-terrorism, many insurgent groups are not only mobilising children in their political and military activities, but are using them as child suicide bombers," said Radhika Coomarawamy, the UN’s special representative for children and armed conflict
