Telekom Srbija is planning to launch an IPTV service in September for ADSL subscribers. Speaking to Serbian daily Biznis, services director Igor Jecl said the operator will offer a triple-play service for less than EUR 40 which will include telephony, broadband internet and IPTV. Telekom Srbija currently has 200,000 ADSL users, while at least 80,000 people subscribe to cable internet services and 100,000 Serbians have broadband internet access at work. Telekom Srbija already has the infrastructure to offer IPTV to an additional 200,000 users. In addition to standard TV channels, the IPTV service will include video-on-demand and the possibility of recording programs on the set-top box and central server.

30 June 2008 Belgrade _ Up to 4.2 million people have so far applied for free shares in major Serbian state-run companies, offered under a government plan to privatise the key country’s assets.
In a statement, the Post Office said that another 300,000 people were expected to apply for free shares in its branches nationwide by the July 31 deadline.
On January 28 Serbia launched a three-year plan to sell state-operated companies worth some €30 billion.
