Talibani su se dosjetili finog businessa. Dođu telekomu i zaprijete da će mu srušiti stupove i antene ako ne plati neku lovu.
Telecoms chief claims rivals pay protection cash to Taliban

Mobile phone companies in Afghanistan are bowing to criminal and Taliban demands to pay protection money to avoid the destruction of their transmission masts, the chief executive of one of Afghanistan’s leading telecommunications companies has claimed.
The Afghan network is already under attack from Taliban fighters who have damaged scores of phone masts in the south that they believe are being used by international forces to detect the positions of fighters.
However, criminals have also started targeting phone masts to extort money, according to Karim Khoja, head of Roshan, an Aga Khan-backed phone enterprise that has over the past five years grown into one of the country’s biggest companies. Mr Khoja believes his company has been disproportionately targeted. Of the 10 masts the Ministry of Communications said had been destroyed this year, eight belonged to Roshan.
T-Mobile is taking Starbucks to court claiming that the coffee giant violated an exclusive agreement over provision of wireless internet access in its outlets.
The lawsuit, filed late last week in a New York State court, alleges that Starbucks and its new partner AT&T have "created a ‘Free Wi-Fi Promotion’ that violates T-Mobile’s rights to exclusively sell, market and promote wireless internet service within all but two markets of Starbucks’ US stores".
Earlier in the year the three companies signed an agreement to "transition from T-Mobile to AT&T for the provision of Wi-Fi services in Starbucks stores".
As part of the agreement Starbucks stores were to be "converted on a market-by-market basis, through the removal of T-Mobile access lines and equipment". After that AT&T could install its own equipment.
However, until an entire market is transitioned, T-Mobile "had the exclusive right to market and sell those services in the Starbucks stores within that market".
According to T-Mobile, only two markets have been fully transitioned, namely San Antonio in Texas and Bakersfield in California.
Flying in the face of this agreement, T-Mobile has accused Starbucks and AT &T of secretly developing "a promotional plan under which they would offer ‘free’ AT&T/Starbucks Wi-Fi even in stores in non-transitioned markets".
Is T-Mobile USA Crying Over Spilled Wi-Fi?
T-Mobile USA, which saw its Wi-Fi hot-spot business ravaged when it lost its massive Starbucks contract to AT&T Wireless (TelecomWeb news break, Feb. 11), is taking the coffee-house chain to court. As such, T-Mobile USA is charging Starbucks with reneging on terms of the transition pact and improperly…
European firms shun regular flexible working
Firms putting themselves at ‘ever increasing risk’ of losing key staffFewer than a fifth of companies allow all their employees to work flexibly on a daily basis, even though an overwhelming majority of European workers want access to such provisions. An independent report commissioned by Avaya found that a failure to provide flexible working is an "ever-increasing risk" in a region where nearly a third of employees would "definitely" change jobs to work flexibly.
