Kaže vijest da je Njemački T-Mobile prodao "samo" 70.000 iPhone uređaja uz ugovor od startanja ponude što je manje od Franzuza i Engleza. Apple nije baš najsretniji ali T-Mobile je jer je dodao veliku brojku korisnika i time preokrenuo (kako kaže Rene) katastrofu iz 2006 godine. Eh, Rrrrene Rrrrene i njegov Halo, Halo telekom. Inače T-Mobile tvrdi da ima 119 milijuna korisnika…

T-Mobile International reports 119.6 mln customers in 2007
T-Mobile International continued to expand its customer base in 2007, driven by growth in Eastern Europe and the US. In addition to organic growth, the acquisition of Orange in the Netherlands contributed to the positive subscriber development. The number of mobile customers worldwide rose to a total of 119.6 million last year, including the some 2.2 million customers from Orange Nederland. Net additions amounted to 11.1 million, representing an increase of 10.3 percent. Customers found the mobile internet and data services particularly attractive. By the end of 2007, 3.2 million T-Mobile customers in Europe were already using mobile internet via web’n'walk. T-Mobile Germany increased its customer base and reported almost 36 million customers at year-end. T-Mobile USA once again made the largest contribution to growth, recording 28.7 million customers at the end of the year. The US subsidiary reported 951,000 net additions in Q4, of which 733,000 were pospaid customers, including 5 million MyFaves customers. T-Mobile UK reported 406,000 net additions last year to bring the total number of customers to 17.3 million. The Flext calling plan continues to be in great demand, with 2.1 million customers at the end of the year.

Naravno, Rene mrtav hladan izjavljuje i da su "… jedini ograničavajući čimbenik rasta europskog telekomunikacijskog diva  tržišni regulatori."  Ma nemoj molim te, odakle ti samo to. Pa normalno da su ograničavajući faktor regulatori, da nisu do danas ne bi opstao niti jedan konkurentski telekom, a cijene telefoniranja i interneta bi bile trostruke ali… da, da tu je u pravu, DT bi imao fenomenalne rezultate da regulatori ne reguliraju i da puste DT da gazi koga stigne i kako stigne.

Valjda se zato i spremaju prebaciti par tisuća radnih mjesta u Indiju sad kad ih malo Ratan Tata pokupuje. To je super i tu neće biti nikakvih problema oko prebacivanja radnih mejsta iz Njemačke u Indiju kao što je to bilo recimo kad je Nokia odlučila tvornicu prebaciti u Rumunjsku. Nitzi jedan ministar se neće sjetiti otkazati svoj T-Mobile i preći na … kajjaznam… Tele2 ili Vodafone ili nešto. To ne, ta radna mjesta se mogu bez problema prebaciti u Indiju. Koji dvoličnjaci.

Np da se vratim na iPhone. Izgleda da je Apple odabrao skroz krivu taktiku miješajući operatore koji će prodavati iPhone. Ono, kako će T-Mobile gurati iPhone u Njemačkoj dok istovremeno radi sa drugim mobačima u Engelskoj. Jer…

T-Mobile UK has launched the MDA Touch Plus, offering high-speed connectivity with the T-Mobile HSDPA network. The device has a TouchFlo screen and slide-out keyboard and is coupled with the web’n'walk service. It also has a 2-megapixel camera and MP3 player and will allow users to watch a range of TV channels. It is also compatible with the CoPilot Live satellite navigation system.

Doduše— pih, samo 2 megapixela, koji je to lejmerski mobač. :-)

Ma genijalci su. Zasmetalo ih je to što su im regulatori odredili i sad se dure i neće tako brzo ići sa implementacijom VDSL-a. Kao ufatili ih tehnički razlozi… :-)

For the future, Deutsche Telekom will focus on 4 core competencies said Obermann: broadband internet access, IP-based communications and value-added services, optimised content management and the most highly regarded service for end customers. The CEO made clear that Deutsche Telekom will not produce its own content in the future, but continues to work with content partners. With regards of the roll-out of Deutsche Telekom’s VDSL-based all-IP network, Obermann said that the completion is expected between 5 and 7 years from now, instead of 2010, as hoped by Deutsche Telekom’s competitors. Obermann also reacted to allegations by competitors that Deutsche Telekom is still delaying the transfer of DSL customers to the networks of those competitors. He said that the operator is transferring DSL customers 30 percent faster than last year, despite the federation of alternative operator VATM’s reporting otherwise.

Dakle da ponovimo…. FUNKCIONALNA SEPARACIJA… ahm… bez toga teško da će išta biti, evo, čak i DT se pravi grbav sa infrastrukturom, nije im u interesu a regulator se može slikati, sa 5 megapixela kamerom koju je mu je Rrrrene uručio. ;-)
