Američki senat je ZATRPAN zahtjevima da se odustane od ogromnih nameta koji će ugušiti internet radio, posebno male radio stanice i projekte kao što je Pandora. Kažu da se kompletna FAX infrastruktura skršila pod navalom.
Eto, tako bi nekako izgledala demokracija…. :-))
The Senate yesterday introduced legislation aimed at blocking the royalty rate increases that threaten to put many net radio operations out of business. Gizmodo talks to Pandora Radio boss Tim Westergren, who says Congress is overwhelmed by grass roots support.
"Office staffers say they have never received this many e-mails and inquiries on any issue in their congressional careers. The whole fax infrastructure of Capitol Hill was jammed for two days." The May 15 deadline for paying up has been shifted to July 15, at which time the bill comes due for these broadcasters.

A ja samo mogu reći… vratite mi Pandoruuuu gadovi ZAMPirski. Hm, koji je ono FAX u Saboru? Možda se može nešto i kod nas promijeniti, mislim, vrijedi probati, slanje FAX-a i nij eneka mudrost. ;-)
Eh ti Amerikenjci… Interesantan članak o to kako ugovori o slobodnoj trgovini funkcioniraju i kako se iz nečeg što bi trebao biti ugovor o slobodnoj trgovini izrodi nešto što stvara monopole… intelektualno vlasništvo… hm… ZAMP, BSA…

Free trade is supposed to be a win-win situation. You sell me your televisions, I sell you my software, and we both prosper. In practice, free-trade agreements are messier than that. Since all industries crave foreign markets to expand into but fear foreign competitors encroaching on their home turf, they lobby their governments to tilt the rules in their favor. Usually, this involves manipulating tariffs and quotas. But, of late, a troubling twist in the game has become more common, as countries use free-trade agreements to rewrite the laws of their trading partners. And the country that is doing this most aggressively is the United States.
Ma neee, pa ne bi oni to nama, ne bi tamo neki MMF ili tako neka organizacija radili protiv nas, pa svi znaju da su oni u stvari dobrotvori koji će nam pokloniti gomilu novaca za… pa za ništa i nikad neće, ni slučajno, naplatiti tu lovu u … bilo čemu ili tražiti neke tamo povlastice i slično… ne. nikad. :-)
